Rent A Room

1.  Secure the room:   Pay a holding fee of £150 to reserve the room, this fee then reduces your first month's rent

2. Sign a Short term Tenancy Agreement (STA):  Normal practice in the UK. The agreement is for 51 weeks & explains what the tenant needs to do as well as what the landlord needs to provide.  The agreement is the one recommended by the UK National Landlords Association. We will explain everything before you sign.

3. Pay the deposit: 1 month's deposit is required 14 days before you move into the house, when we receive it we pay it
in to an independent 'Tenancy Deposit Scheme' where the money is held during your stay.  As long as the STA is
followed (no default payments or damage) this is refunded to you by the 'Tenancy Deposit Scheme' administrators at the end of your tenancy

4.  Pay your first rent invoice: 5 days before you move in pay your first month's rent.

5.  Finalise your arrival time: Let us know and we will be there to welcome you to the house, give you keys,
show you around and answer any questions you have

6.  Pay your rent: We send you a monthly invoice which needs to be paid before the month starts, so November's rent is due on or before 31st October

We look forward to welcoming you to our community!
